1. Who we are
This website, nubiessence.com, is operated by Nubiessence Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under number 17466957, with its registered office at Castle Lodge Court, Rothwell, Leeds LS26 0ZJ, United Kingdom (“Nubiessence Ltd”, “we”, “us”). We are the data controller for the personal data described here. Questions about this policy go to hello@nubiessence.com.
2. What we collect, and why
Waitlist. When you join the waitlist we collect your email address and the time and page you joined from. We use it to tell you when we launch and to offer launch pricing. Lawful basis: your consent, which you give by submitting the form and can withdraw at any time by unsubscribing or writing to us.
Contact form and email. When you write to us we collect your name, email address and whatever you put in your message, so that we can reply. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in answering enquiries, and, where the enquiry is about a purchase, taking steps at your request before a contract.
Technical data. Our hosting provider records standard server logs — IP address, browser type, pages requested, time — to keep the site running and secure. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in operating a secure website. We do not use these logs to profile you.
We do not collect special-category data, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
3. Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent personal data. We share it only with the service providers who process it on our instructions: the company that hosts this website and its forms, the service that stores waitlist and contact submissions, and, once we launch, the email service that sends our messages. Each is bound by a contract to protect your data and use it only for us. We will also disclose data where the law requires it.
Some of these providers are outside the United Kingdom. Where data leaves the UK we rely on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or an adequacy decision so that it stays protected to the UK standard.
4. How long we keep it
Waitlist addresses: until we launch and for up to 12 months afterwards, or until you unsubscribe, whichever is first. Contact messages: for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for up to 24 months after, in case you write again. Server logs: rotated by our provider, typically within 30 days.
5. Cookies and browser storage
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. It uses your browser’s local storage for two things only: to remember that you have joined the waitlist, so we do not ask you twice, and to remember your answer to the cookie notice. Both stay on your device and are never sent to us.
If you choose “accept” in the cookie notice, we also run Vercel Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It sets no cookies and does not identify you: it records the page, the country, the device type and referrer, and uses a hashed, short-lived identifier that cannot be traced back to you. If you choose “essential only” it does not run at all. You can change your choice at any time from the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.
6. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete it;
- stop or limit how we use it;
- give it to you in a portable form;
- stop sending you marketing — every email we send has an unsubscribe link, and writing to us works too.
Write to hello@nubiessence.com. We answer within one month. If you are not happy with our answer you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
7. Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Submissions go to our providers over encrypted connections and are held in access-controlled systems. No method is perfectly secure, so we keep what we hold to a minimum.
8. Changes
We will update this page when our practices change and show the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use data you have already given us, we will tell you by email first.
